The Berwyn Development Corporation, in conjunction with the City of Berwyn, will host the 26th Annual Route 66 Car Show Sat., Aug. 27 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Ogden Avenue (formerly known as Route 66) between Oak Park and Ridgeland.
Highlights of the event include over 550 vintage and custom vehicles on display, live music and a parade to the World War I Memorial. Over 30,000 people are expected to attend, as the Route 66 Car Show is widely considered the most popular auto show in the area, according to a press release from the Berwyn Development Corporation.
For those interested in entering their car, truck or motorcycle into the show, registration is available online at BerwynRt66.com. These participants will receive a t-shirt, dash plaque and goodie bag.
Throughout the day, live music entertainment will be provided by Rick “Elvis” Saucedo, performing an Elvis musical showcase, and Tony Pellegrino, performing songs by Frank Sinatra. From 2-4 p.m., WLS DJ & Radio Hall of Famer Dick Biondi will be signing autographs and award trophies.
